Public Participation

The CDC’s mission is to make data about the region work for the people who live here. That includes engaging community on how they want to use data. We’ve been testing and designing projects on public stewardship of data since 2020. We work with data partners across the region to better include publics in their day-to-day data technology practices.

Liverpool City Region Residents’ Assembly on Data and AI Innovation

Round ‘Ere – a participatory action research project looking at how to design a well-being data hub with residents from Widnes (Halton).

Community Conversations – focus groups hosted with equity-seeking community groups across the LCR on their perspectives on data usage in community.

The Big AI Debate – a video project on what residents think about AI to support an expert debate in Liverpool City Centre.

NHS Data into Action Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) – a series of focus groups with residents on their perspective of a Secure Data Environment for Cheshire and Merseyside health data.
